A3 problem solving

The College recommends the use of A3 problem solving as a component of continues quality improvement process.


A3 problem solving is a tool that is used for reporting problems, improvements and changes. This tool uses a cyclical learning process that mirrors PDCA (Plan, Do, Check and Act). The concept of A3 refers to a paper size that is roughly equivalent to 11-inch by 17-inch outlined into several structured sections.  It is a very powerful tool for process improvements that can be used organisation-wide.
